Bring the Outdoors Inside with Gorgeous Tuscan Décor!

A gorgeous way to literally bring nature into your home—and perhaps one of my favorites—is to hang a wreath of dried leaves, flowers, and berries on your wall. Displaying the beautiful colors of boxwood, salal, wheat, and other leaves and grasses, dried wreaths are all natural and truly one-of-a- kind works of art. I just love the rich hues, nuanced textures, and earthy-yet-elegant feel of natural wreaths as part of any Tuscan home. Hang one in your foyer, on your front door, or in your living room—no matter where you place it, your wreath will look gorgeous!
Another great option is to actually use living plants as part of your Tuscan home. There’s no need to turn 
your living room into a jungle, but a few well-placed house plants can evoke a more natural setting, connecting your décor with the surrounding landscape. Perch a trailing philodendron on a beaten copper plant stand, set a miniature lemon tree in a basket-style planter, or make a big statement with a screen-style plant stand. Choose planters and stands with time-worn, Mediterranean look finishes to best complement the rest of your Tuscan design décor.
Other ideas include paintings of grape vines, furnishings embossed with accents of Tuscan flora and fauna, and earthenware adorned with olive branches and motifs. You don’t have to go overboard, but it’s important to ground your Tuscan home décor in the natural setting of the Italian peninsula. A little splash of nature will go a long ways when it comes to your Mediterranean style!
